nGNBCS is a non-audition SATB choir under the direction of Brian Dean Sous

Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at First Unitarian Church in New
Bedford.\nOur holiday concert\, “Christmas Songs from Around the World\,
” is planned for Sunday\, December 6th at 3:30 pm. Originally a pagan ho
liday\, Christmas was adopted by the Romans as the date of Christ’s birt
h in the 4th century and is now celebrated in more than 160 countries. The
GNBCS concert will explore a variety of different musical styles and idea
s\, and will include selections from 11 different countries in a multitude
of languages!\nGNBCS has been bringing classical choral music to listener
s in southeastern Massachusetts since its founding in 1964. We are a four-
part chorus with members from surrounding communities including Westport\,
  Dartmouth\, Acushnet\, Lakeville\, New Bedford\, and Fairhaven.\nWe prese
nt one winter concert in either December or January\, and another in the s
pring. Our concerts typically include one major choral work plus a selecti
on of shorter pieces chosen for the season of the year and are performed i
n area churches. We have combined with the New Bedford Symphony\, the Univ
ersity of Massachusetts Dartmouth Chorus\, and other area choral societies
to perform larger works.\nVisit our website at https://www.gnbcs.org/ for
more information and to register or follow us on Facebook.
